By PDAStreet.com Staff Mobility Electronics, a provider of portable computing solutions, plans to expand its marketing to frequent travelers through several upcoming agreements with players in the airline industry. The announcement was made at the World Airline Entertainment Association (WAEA) Conference, an international convention for in-flight entertainment and communications hardware, software, services and support. Mobility Electronics said it is currently negotiating agreements with several large companies and said it will announce specific contracts in the coming weeks. The company claims the agreements will create visibility in the airline industry for Mobility Electronics' iGo product line of mobile computing peripherals and accessories designed to complement notebook computers, handhelds and mobile phones. In addition, frequent travelers may be able to purchase iGo products using points accrued from air travel. The company said it was also pursing similar agreements with other travel industry programs. "Mobility's products are designed to make mobile computing easier, which speaks directly to the frequent business traveler, so partnering with the airline industry represents an ideal opportunity for us," said Charlie Mollo, CEO of Mobility Electronics. "As we expand our product lines and increase our products' functionality, we anticipate these road warriors will be a core constituency." With these agreements, Mobility Electronics said it will market iGo products such as Juice, a mobile adapter that can simultaneously power a notebook and a mobile phone or handheld from any power source, and Pitch for Palm, a Palm handheld-based solution that allows users to present presentations using a Palm handheld instead of a laptop.
